hi. i'm just wondering where to start here. we just started EASY last friday as well as moving our LO out of our bed and into our crib! we also have made huge improvements in helping him to fall asleep on his own, rather than being nursed. my problem continues to be nightfeeds. he wakes up every 4 hours or less. he is on a 4 hour EASY schedule during the day (which we just switched from a 3 hour schedule last week), and takes in 3 solid meals a day. since starting EASY his naps have gotten so much better.....today he actually slept for 3.5 hours total. i know that he gets too many calories with me at night because he is used to colseeping and snacking all night long. i want him to wake up HUNGRY and take a full feed before i go to work. the snacking HAS to stop. 8 months of no sleep is taking its toll on me. i want to start weaning night feeds, but i just don't know where to start and how often i can expect him to go between feeds. it was suggested that i continue to feed every four hours through the night in hopes that he will drop the feeds on his own. i don't think that will happen though........
should i express BM and feed him a bottle? then, wean him with adding more water to the bottle every couple nights? should i start by just giving him water? should i start by expecting him to go longer between feeds? i'm so confused and don't know how to fix this. i'm so scared i'm going to make another AP mistake. thank you for your help
