I usually eat meals with dd but we do them in different places! So in the morning when she gets up we have breakfast together on settee while watching cartoons then lunch we usually eat together at the table or if its nice we eat sandwiches outside on a blanket - dinner is always together with daddy at table and she definately eats best at dinnertime!

I have such a relaxed attitude with food and we snack on bits of ham or salmon or fruit in the day just while we are sitting about - it seems to get her to try new things if I bring something new out as a snack - if I do it meal time she will refuse to eat it!!!

I think as long as some meals in the week are together henry will still have good eating habits - maybe even just 3 or 4 meals a week and make a real special occassion of it with all the best foods and drinks!

Totally agree!!

During the week DH and I sharing dinner is really the best opportunity for us to chat and catch up with each other as he is usually working throughout the evening (or watching football ::)) and especially at the moment, I'm spending inordinate amounts of time resettling Ben!!
