Is this a growth spurt??

My LO has just turned 13 weeks today and for the last few days (about 5 days) she has been waking at nights and feeding like I've never seen her feed before and I'm not sure that if she continues this way, how I will keep up with her feeds. Its like she needs a permanent feed drip in her arm!

Last night she woke at 1am, 4am then 7am however for the last two weeks previous she has been sleeping through until about 6am. Yesterday in total for the day she had 43 ounces (1.3 Litre in my country!) of formula but, as i mentioned I dont know how i will keep up with this. Has anyone experienced this, if so how long did it last and did your schedule go back to normal? I am hoping so :-(

There is a growth spurt around 12 weeks so it could well be that - if so it should last a few days then things should return to normal!

How much is she taking in her day bottles? Have you increased them by an oz or 2 to see if you can get more in her during the day?

Thanks for you reply, I have tried to increase her bottles and that worked but she still ate more, for some bottles she was taking more than 9 oz but that was after a big night feed.

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but before this pattern happened she was on 4 hour easy because we were away and out and about and she wasn't interested in eating before that but since I have gone back to 3.5 the night wakings have begun.

I swapped her back to 3.5 because I had read that she is too young for 4 hour easy. I think the last couple of days has seen the end if the growth spurt but last night she woke to have a small feed. She is coming up to 14 weeks, any ideas??

My baby is about 4 weeks and has been experiencing some of the symptoms of a growth spurt-more fussy, eating more often, etc. Do babies go through growth spurts so young?
