NW...eugh.

Just a quick question. Do you think pushing out the nap could cause NW and EW?  ???

It was a mistake for the most part but yesterday he went down at 12.30/45 instead of 12 for his nap. Last night he was fairly upset and up for the day pretty early....5.30am. I'm not too pernickety about A's and didn't think that a half hour would cause THAT much upheaval. No sign of teeth either.

Pretty pee'd actually as I had been getting it right for the last few days. he was settling lovely at bedtime after a couple of weeks of being unsettled going to bed. It takes very little to get this wee man in an EW cycle and lots to get him out!

Just putting him down and going to let him sleep as long as he likes but knowing my luck it'll be a one hour deal. Pfft.

Well when we were on holidays we were very casual about when we got him down for his nap, some days it was off by 1 hr so he would go down closer to 1.  He would still sleep the same length of nap and everything but we ended up with NW and he was just 'off' during the day.  Can't say for sure it was the schedule change but I wouldn't rock that boat if you can get away with it.  It all seemed to get better when we went back to offering his nap at noon.

Are you pushing the nap because of the EW or why are you pushing the nap?

We were having EW but not for a few days now. The nap got pushed by mistake, DH was off work and lunch ran late...the usual. He just happened to go down late yeaterday. I was racking my brains wondering why he was so tired and upset last night and the late nap was the only answer I could come up with.

He went down at 11.30 this morning, earlier than usual and he's still asleep. Actually stirring now so a good 2.5 hour nap. I just cant believe that popping him down not even an hour later than usual would cause so much chaos for him.

Well I guess it answers my question I've been asking myself. Nope , he aint ready to have then nap pushed out!!

 Thanks Wendy!

These Spirited boys seem to settle into their routine and don't like us to mess with it, they have very sensitive body clocks I think.  We learned the hard way too.  But as you say at least you know 'nope, not ready for that' hehe.

Glad he's giving you a long nap!
