My 4 1/2 month old, who used to sleep through the night recently when through teething (both bottom) at 3 1/2 months old and then went through a growth spurt at 4 months. She is BF, but I have been giving her 4 oz of formula before bed b/c otherwise she doesn't make it through the night. (She is VERY active- rolling both ways, jumping, screaming, walking in her walker, etc.) Since then she has been waking at 4:00 am (sometimes at 2:30 as well, but if I give her her paci and reswaddle she goes right back down). When she wakes at 4, she is squirming and seems to pass gas, but if I feed her she'll go back to sleep. (maybe the formula she's not used to- only been on it for a week) I would like her to make it until 5 or 5:30. She pretty much won't go back to sleep on her own unless I hold her until time to eat or just feed her. I don't want her to fall in to the pattern of eating at 4, but maybe that's just what she does now? Also, don't know if maybe it's a swaddle/paci problem? Don't think it's the paci, bc she usually spits it out and doesn't want it back at night. However, she has started rolling both way now and can squirm all over on her own, so I don't know if the swaddle is a problem? I have been very bad and been rocking her and swaddling her at bed time and in the middle of the night so she goes to sleep faster/better. AHHHHHH....this is very wordy, but I don't know where to start? Any thoughts?
