Just a quick question- for the last couple of nights DD has woken 30mins after going to sleep. Last night I medicated as I figured her molars were bothering her and she went straight back to sleep but she was a grump all day today. She went down tonight without meds but woke after 30mins. Sounds like she has gone back to sleep.

In the old days (before she turned 1) waking after 30mins in the evening was generally OT. Now I'm not sure what it is and if her routine needs tweaking or I should just wait and see.

It's discomfort here, he normally saves his OT wakings until later.

Hmm well she is sleeping pretty steadily and slept through without needing meds last night. I have been capping her nap at 2hours to help get things back on track and she is doing 12 hours overnight. Not sure what it is?

Developmental?  Overstimulation?  Anything new going on?  Any changes in the house or her room?  Weather changes?  Full moon lol?  With these guys so full of surprises it could be anything really.  If it persists we should revisit the routine.

Sick I think- she woke with a raging temp this morning so she might have been feeling lousy for a few nights? Everything else has been pretty solid, no new changes that I can think of

Yep a temp for sure would cause it.  You know how we feel ratty and 'know' we are getting ill, it's likely the same for them.  They just know that they don't feel well, possibly their sheets are scratchy and they get little body aches and stuff and then they get the full blown whatever it is.  Poor button, hope she feels better soon!

Still with a fever. There is a strain of swine flu doing the rounds in NZ so all my fingers and toes are crossed she doesn't have it.
