But I hate not to offer and I hate to waste food too, iykwim!!
It's always good to keep offering!  But if you're worried about wasting food, then making your own is a great way not to waste it!  You can freeze it in small portions and only use what you need, instead of opening a whole jar and having to throw it out because she doesn't eat much.  But I would say if she's not going for it with too much gusto then don't worry about going slow, even stopping for a bit and trying it again.  :)

I just wanted to add too that DS1 didn't really love rice cereal so I just stopped it altogether.  It's not necessary to do cereals so don't stress if it's not big on her 'like' list.  ;)

Thanks:) I buy the super small bottles and it lasts for 3 days, so by the time I offer it for three days it's gone anyway. I don't even try cereal anymore... I have three big old boxes though cuz I bought rice cereal, oats, and some kind of grain mix. :( I think I'm going to try to mix it with fruit when she starts eating more.

My dd also hated rice cereal. I just stopped offering it to her for 2-3 days, then started again with the baby biscuits (I don't know if they're called that) included. And since one week she really likes them. Sometimes she finishes, sometimes she is almost finished. Just once this week she didn't feel like eating it, so I didn't force her.

I also put half an egg yolk (boiled for almost 10 minutes) and homemade cottage cheese.

I also should say that my dd doesn't like it when it's too runny/liquidy. So I suggest you can start experimenting after a 2-3 day break (if you want her to have the rice cereal of course). Me, I'm kind of confused with the other cereals so I just go with the rice (minimum risk of allergy).

I've kinda given up on the rice cereal. I've actually stopped offering anything for the past few days. I'll try again with fruits and veggies in a week or so. I need to find some biscuits too...
