He could be needing to drop the cat nap soon, mine did at 5 1/2 months.  Do you have to get up to comfort him? MY little guy still sometimes cries out in his sleep and resettles, it is pretty typical, as long as he isnt getting up, or needing you to resettle him. No teeth yet?

Thinking about dropping that crazy cat nap soon.
I don't get up to help him out. He whines a bit and cries but does resettle on his own both times.
Teeth are bothering him but haven't come in yet.
Perhaps too much sleep in the day at this point?

Thanks
Natasha

It could be his teeth. I have heard that the pain is worse for them in the nigghtime. I would try shortening his catnap a little first then see if that helps, keep it around if it helps him sleep at night, you don't want to cut it out too quickly.
