11 weeks:Is this EASY wrong and why
« on: December 15, 2010, 13:08:12 pm »
My exclusevely BF 11 weeks DD naturally fell in this routine. I write naturally because I have it really hard in weaking her up from her nap and I let her sleep.

W 7:00 ( I have to wake her up :-( )
E 7:00
A 1hr
S 8:00 to 11:00 / sometimes 12:00 (  3 to 4 hrs)
E 12
A 1 hr
S 13:00 to 13:45 ( 45 min)
A 1 hr 15
S 15:00 to 15:45 ( 45 min)
E 15:50
S 16:00 to 16:45 ( 45 min)
E 17:00
A 1.45
E 18:30
S 19:00  to 23:00 where I DF....another DF at 3am......and wake up at 7am and feed.

She is generally a happy baby but I am concerned that she does not eat enough...she is gaining 200 gr per week.
In a way, this strange routine suits me because my Older daughter is at pre-school in the morning and so baby daughter can sleep the most...because when she comes back from school the decibels are very high ;-) ...
Do I have to change this routine??  :-\

Hi there!
I totally understand what you mean by not waking them up from their sleep. 3 hours is beautiful. I think, though, she needs a feed. You can try asking them on the breastfeeding boards but since their tummies are so tiny, they do need those 3 hour feeds. 5 hour feeds ...I still did 4-4.5 hour feeds at 1 year. Again, please post if you think I'm out of line.

In regards to her afternoon, could you put a sound machine to muffle the noise?

Also, just wondering how her nights are? Does she STTN?

Did these help?

Thanks Jiinx,

I will ask the BF board....and yes the sound machine will be on hoping that she will not get addicted to it. Regarding your questions re night, I might say I canīt complain at all....but now that I said it, it will go wrong. Do you know what I mean Jiinx? ;-)

I hope not as my lo has a sound machine too. It just gives me such peace of mind when it is noisy. We live around buses...fire trucks..garbage trucks..people stomping above us (we live in a condo) so I feel like we do need it. Or maybe I need it.

*hugs* It won't go bad. ;D I'll cross everything, though, juuuuust in case.

Last question Jiinx on the noise machine. Where do you place it? Close to him or close to the door?

bc there's no outlet near the door and only near her crib...it's by her crib near the closet. Softer during the night, a little bit louder during her naps.
