oh I'm pulling my hair out!!!  :( DD is 7 months old tomorrow

I must be doing something wrong but don't know what!! I have DD on a EASY and it works really well, the naps are fantasic now I never thought that they could get so good. We weened the dummy 3/4 weeks ago as we had 20 mins all the time for 6 months and I was getting up twice an hour to put her dummy in at night.

 Nights are the pits  :P :P She goes to sleep lovely in her on cot awake and is asleep within 2 mins, but then a hour later she just starts screaming out of the blue, I have left her a few min to see if she can settle herself but the crying gets worst! I go in a place my hand on her chest and PUPD if she gets really bad, sometimes she will go back off till about 12.00 and it happens again I manage to settle her agaian and then it starts again at 5.00am (at this point im really tired and end up bringing her into the bed) sometimes she will settle with me but often keeps on crying  :'(

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas?  ;D

how old is she? Are you still doing any night feeds?

Hi,

Sorry modifided my post above to add some bits re dummy!

No night feeds

7am Bottle
8am Solids

11.30 Solids
2.00 Bottle

5.00 Solids
6.30 Bottle

Dreamfeed 9.30, although not a dream feed as she wakes so often after I put her to bed she is usally awake. The day before yesterday she didn't wake up once after I put her to bed I couldn't believe it! I wracked my brain trying to think what I did differently that day but can't think of anything.

Can you give us an idea of her nap routine?

When did you drop her night feeds? There's a chance she may still be hungry, how are solids going? If you gave her a bottle at 5am do you think she would settle back to sleep?

Naps at .....
10.00am - 11.30am
2.30pm - 4.00pm
7.00pm Bed

Dropped the night feed about 6 weeks ago as she was not intrested in the 7am bottle leaving half of it. I don't think she is hungry as although she drinks her 7am bottle she doesn't drain it or drink it really quickly, I have to encourage her to finish. Solids are going really really well, she love it! The otehr odd thing is during the day I see her on the video monitor stir, open her eyes and go back off to sleep but at night she screams blue murder.

well, that's a conundrum! teething? Are you staying with her til she goes back to sleep at night?

She has been like this for about 5 weeks thats why I'm so confused! If she was just like this ever so often I could understand but it's every night. When she crys I leave her for a few mins then go in and out my hand on her chest til she calms down then last night every time I left the room she'd start screaming again. But when i put her down at the start of the night she goes down awake and also during the day. So i go in and  out alot, untill around 5am and I get so tired I bring her into the bed where she starts crying again. I tried giving her pain meds before bed no difference!

Could she be dreaming? I can't work out what it is :(

Hi,

Just to say that we have similar issue in that LO can settle himself in the daytime - will open his eyes, roll over and sleep during a nap but absolutely will not do it at night time. I have no idea why either. I will be watching your thread with interest.
