Hi, I'm new to these boards and just have started BW training. My son used to be dependent on nursing to sleep, rocking/bouncing on an exercise ball and sleeping on me. We've managed to eliminate all of these props, but now his naps are usually 30-45 minutes instead of 2 hours.
This morning, he started rubbing his eyes pretty early and then started getting fussy and crying so I rushed and put him in his crib. It took about a minute of fussiness and he fell asleep.
The problem is that he's 5 months and has an A time of only 1.5 hours. What am I doing wrong? If I try to extend his A time, he gets REALLY cranky like this morning and starts crying and arching his back in my arms.
Here's my EASY schedule so far today..
E - 7:06 - 7:11?
A - 7:11 - 8:36
S - 8:36 (ongoing)
Usually, when he wakes up from his naps, he's crying hard and super grumpy. I've tried HTTJ and it only extends it by 20 minutes and that's only because I'm hunched over the crib holding down his arms and legs for 20 minutes.
I'd appreciate any help/insight that you can provide.
