Hi Laura and others,
Bedtime is definitely better since her nap has been cut down to 1 hour but some days it takes her longer to settle and fall asleep. At least she is not crying anymore rather she is singing to her multiple stuffy friends and pretending she is the teacher, it's rather cute listening to her but when it goes on for an hour or even an hour and a half I get annoyed because I know she's not going to get a full rest.
The nw's are still happening but thrown in there are a couple of nights that she will sleep through. I haven't dealt with the nw's because I am not at a place of committing to the change right now. I just finished my master's degree and feel like I myself am just trying to regain my energy. I think I am planning to address the nw in the next week or so. I'm also a little hesitant because I am going away with her in a few weeks and I know that we will be sharing a bed. So do I sleep train her now and then do it again or just do it after the trip?
Either way she is handling this sleep thing pretty well. Just for laughs, one morning she was awake really early and I said to her "You are awake really early I wish you had slept longer" she says to me "but mommy I slept through the night" I said yes you are right, thanks for that. LOL. Better than that comment was when I said to her "honey you didn't sleep through the night" she says "but mommy I didn't come into your bed" Again I said yes you are right! She is so funny and too darn smart for her own good and mine.
Thanks again for all the help! Will keep you posted.
