Hi! The great thing about EASY is that its just a set way of doing things not a schedule that you have to spend the day clock watching. So if naps are a little later some mums like to let their lo's sleep and some wake for E to get the day calories in...its up to you. If he misses a sleep either bring bed time forward if he's a baby that can tack lost sleep onto the night or let him CN if he needs it....you know him best so use your mummy intuition! :) Good luck with your EASY its not easy (ironic) but its soo much better having a structured day.

well i am by far an expert but so far it works ..

if there is a missed or late nap, i try to feed a bit early. like your example.. i would try to feed at like 1030.  My baby is just 2 months old so this has worked so far.  You may have to do a bit of trial and error to see what works for your LO.

good luck

It's more about knowing what comes next than doing things at the right time, if you do E.A.S.Y. your baby shouldn't fall asleep unexpectedly but they might go a little early if they are more tired than usual. Have you done an observation day to see what your baby's natural routine is? It might help you plan your E.A.S.Y. a little better.

Kind off.

He wakes at around 5am ( i leave him to settle back again ) and we then get up at around 7. he ususally gets tired around 830ish ( sometimes he misses this sleep all together ). Feeds around 12ish then usually gets sleepy again 1pm ish. he can then either go all afternoon withoiut sleep but get really tired around 6ish.....ot he'll have another sleep around 330 ish and gop to bed around 8pm x

Hey there hun, agree with pp(s) comments, and would add that as you start EASY you'd be aiming to establish a routine, so that your lo knows what to expect, so I'd aim at setting E times, and working on naps. At this age you'd be aiming at 2 naps a day, to make sure your lo doesn't get OT. E would be every 4 hrs, and A time of around 3 hrs. Sometimes lo(s) give tired signs just because they're used to sleep at a certain time.

Here are a couple of links about starting EASY and sample routines for this age:

Does you lo go to sleep independtly, does he have any props? This is a link about teaching sleep for bubs over 6 months old:

Thank you so much.

Yup....unfortunatley we use every prop on the book !!....but mainly my boob !!!!

I'm not convinced he wakes up in hunger at night....just from habit.

is it ok to try giving him water when he wakes ???
