Getting discouraged, short naps
« on: March 27, 2011, 02:32:33 am »
Hi. Ds is 9 weeks old and we struggle with short naps. I have tried lengthening a time as well as shortening it and have been careful not to is. He usually goes down pretty early but rarely sleeps longer than 45 minutes straight fir naps. At bed time he can go 5 hours. I don't know what to do. Am I asking to much out of him? Our schedule has turned to mush. He goes down between 8-9 and used to wake up at 8:30-9 but now it's 6:30-7:30. It's a mess really. I feel like things are going downhill. I want to stop it before it gets too bad. When he takes a 45 min nap after 1.20 of a time that leaves almost a full hour before he needs to feed but I usually feed after 2 1/2 hours instead of 3. He takes in a full feed but doesn't act starving. He does have reflux but it's pretty well controlled.

Sorry for all the typos. He goes down pretty easy for naps, not early.

IT WORKED!!!!  WooHoo!!!  Took forever though- I sat in there for about 40 minutes.  But it will be worth it in the end!
