Hi
Im new to posting but have been reading the site for some time! My 8 month old has for the last 2-3 months been waking 3-4 times plus per night, in fact she had never slept right through until last night!
Finally we had a nights sleep, bed at 8pm, one little squeak at 2am but then back to sleep and through to 6am...heaven!
The only thing is Im not sure if this is down to a change in the day or just a fluke never to happen again!
Normal day is:
Up at between 6 and 7am
Bottle 7.15am (4-5floz)
Breakfast 8.15am - weetabix/ready brek with 2-3floz of baby milk
Lunch 11.30am - 7-8 cubes of chicken casserole, lamb hotpot, lentil stew, veg shepherds pie (protein and veg recipes from Gina Ford), 1 cube of pear and apple puree or banana, 2-3 floz of water
Bottle 3-3.30pm (5-7floz)
Tea 5.30pm - 7-8 teaspoons of baby rice/porridge/readybrek OR potato and veg (I normally make porridge with her milk if she hasnt taken her bottle well in the afternoon)
7.30pm-7.45pm last bottle (5-8floz)
Bed 8pm
Naps: (1) 9.30am - 10.30/11am (this used to be a 40 min nap but has recently become 1-1.5 hours)
(2) 12.45 - 1.30/1.45pm
(3) 3.30/4pm - 30 mins (this one doesnt always happen)
BUT Yesterdays difference was in the naps:
Nap 1: 10 am - 11.30am
Nap 2: 3.45pm - 4.15pm
So same total sleep but no lunchtime nap - she just didnt seem to want or need one until late afternoon?
So my question is would the 10am change in the morning nap time have made a difference or was it perhaps the fact that she didnt sleep again after this until 3.45pm?
Or was it maybe the gaps between sleep in the day were all 3.5-4hours?
I can encourage this pattern again today but I read that the lunchtime nap period is very important so dont want to start ruling this out?
Any thoughts or advice would be really apreciated!
Thanks!
