Mucus poop is back!!! What is going on?????

Hi,

My LO was diagnosed with MSPI about a month ago so we've switched to a hypoallergenic formula.  Since then her poops have actually looked normal for once (they used to contain mucus).  Well...today she seemed a little off and suddenly, out of nowhere she had a mucus poop!  She's not on solids so I don't understand what's going on.  She was put back on reflux meds a week ago but, other than that, nothing has changed 

Any thoughts?

does she have a cold? i think that causes mucous in poos and everywhere else too ...

I don't think so.....hmmm.....totally healthy

This can just happen from time to time really - DD certainly had the odd random unexplained episode - including one about 2 weeks before I gave her cows milk formula which she turned out to be fine with. So who knows??

Any other symptoms? Fussiness or sleep issues? My GI always said the occasional small amount of mucous was normal and to make sure I looked at my baby for discomfort before worrying too much.

Liz - you always make me feel better - thank so much.  I was just so discouraged.  All I could think was that it might have happened b/c we had to give her one bottle a week earlier that ended up having another formula in it (long story).  But, maybe these things just happen I guess.

They really do honey - and we could drive ourselves daft trying to analyse everything our babies do.

Worry about persistent patterns mainly.
