wont go down for catnap after 4pm feed
« on: April 24, 2011, 17:15:24 pm »
My 8 week old dd is getting the hang of naps and most of the time will go down without much trouble but will not go down after her 4pm feed  ??? She has reflux which is managed with meds and like i said will usually go down for all her other naps so i dont know what she has against this one?! the problem im finding is she is then ot for her bath and next feed. This is meaning shes dont enjoying her bath and is making it hard to get her to have her bottle and wind down for bed  :(  i REALLY need her to have this nap as its when i cook the tea for my ds. hope someone can help  ::)

Will she take it in a sling or carrier if she wont take it in her cot? Lots of babies struggle with the catnap, I know it's a pain but it IS normal. Also if it makes her bath a struggle, remember you don't HAVE to do her bath at bedtime, you could do it in the morning if she is happier at that time of day.

Thank you, I will try the carrier. im going to go back to the doc about her meds as by this time of days she is screaming (and i mean SCREAMING!!!) which doesnt help the bedtime feed. tonight she loved her bath and didnt scream once but the i had an hour long battle with the feed. he problem im having is working her scedule in around my ds (school drop off & pick up plus he swims for the town so trains 3 times a week) it was so easy with just one as you didnt have to fit them in around anything else!!! sorry ive got so many issues that all interlink and i dont know where to start when theres a problem as it upsets everyone!!!
