What are the guidelines for how many ounces babies need?
« on: April 24, 2011, 03:16:59 am »
Hello,
Can someone tell me what are the average guidelines for how much formula (ounces) a 8 month old to 12 month old needs? Provided he/she is on solids three times a day.

Thanks,

I know that a good rule of thumb is 2.5 ounces per pound in 24 hours...so a 10 pound baby would get around 25 ounces in a day. But that is only if the lo is not having any solids....

Try this link...thank God for google!!!   ;D

The recs are for a minimum of 20oz per day from 6 months and that can include the milk in their food. Here is another link from this site which gives a b it of info http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?topic=67569.0
