Hoping for quick answer
« on: May 13, 2011, 13:06:46 pm »
So, I am on day 4 of sleep training 10mo ds. Today my older boys have a music concert that I have to leave for by 2:15-20. DS EW at 4:50, I had him back down for first nap at 9:50 (was hoping for earlier today but some trouble settling). How long should I let him sleep to get another nap in at 1-2:15. He's got some OT built up due to sipped naps Monday-Wednesday and we still have lots of NWs (and some teething to boot). Am half inclined to AP the nap to ensure it happens but don't want to undo my hard work. Any suggestions on when to let him sleep till on this first nap?

I'm sure an AP nap as a one off won't undo all your hard work.  How long did he sleep for?  Hope you get the second nap in ok  :-*

Thanks Karen. He slept till 10, so a 1hr10 minute nap. He's fairly tired still so I think I will try for a nap at 1 or maybe even slightly earlier. And because I won't have a chance to get another one in after that I think it may be better to AP if pd doesn't seem to working, rather than let him be up from 10am till bedtime.

I defiantly agree with that one!  You put in the original post that you had him down at 950am so was worried you wouldn't be able to get a second nap in!  Hope it all works out well  :-*
