Dd has been doing a 45 nap at 9 and a long nap at 12.30 for a few days now and it has had a huge positive impact in our ew's!
However today she woke after only an hour into her pm nap and it is 20 mins later and she is still awake? What should I do?

Are you still doing 6.30 bedtime? Maybe a 15 min AP'd catnap later and a slightly later bedtime??

Yeah still doing the 6.30 bed time.....the cn doesn't really suit as I have ds and find it hard to get some quiet time where I can rock her to sleep...also late bed time is no fun for me :(
Just tried rocking her back to sleep again...but she is a heavy lump so gave up and put her back in her cot!
May just lift her and do bed at 6???

Yep I think I'd go with that Amy, especially if you don't want a later bedtime. Good luck :)

Thanks she cut her 7th tooth today and I forgot to give her some pain meds before her nap so I think she woke in pain....just gave her some Nurofen but think this nap is a bust!

Hi Amy - really glad you are having some success!!!   ;D ;D What EW did you start with?  And did you push her from your EW right to 9am & then cap the nap on the first day?  And is she still doing 11hr nights/13hr days?  Can you post your EASY so I can take a peek?

We've been following cues & DS has been doing a 2.5hr 1st A time & we decided to cap his am nap at 1hr, to try & preserve his pm nap.  For the first 3 days we got 2hr pm naps & his WU time moved forwards quite a bit, but then I think he got caught up on the OT & is now in an UT/OT loop.  For the last 3 days his pm nap has only been 1-1.25hrs.  I suspect he is steadily getting OT again due to VERY long A times to BT (5 hrs today) & CN refusal, and sadly our WU has started to creep earlier again. :(  Any tips would therefore be much appreciated!!!!!

It all happened at the weekend! We joined a country club and we went on fri and sat morning. She woke fri morning at 4.30!!!but I was so sick of being at home I just siad we would go and she would have to get on with it! So we went to the pool at 7.30 and at 8.50 I took her out got her changed and put her in the buggy. With a little jigging she was fast asleep within minutes. She slept for about 30/45 mins not sure. Then we got home at 12 I gave her a bottle about 12.15 and put her to bed. She was fst asleep by 12.30 and woke at 3.30!!! Bed that night at 7. She woke next day at 5.40:)
Next day same thing but a two hour nap at lunch time so a 6.30 bed wake next day 6am!
Yesterday she only took an hour at pm nap so bed at 6 and she woke at 4.50 so can't complain! Sticking with this as it gives me the freedom to get things done in the morning and the afternoon!
So it goes
Wake whenever
Sleep 9am
Wake 9.45 ( if I get another short nap at Lunch today I am going to shorten to 30mins tomorrow)
Sleep 12.30
Wake when ever she wakes
Bed 6.30/7 depending on wake time from pm nap.
And you know yest on a one hour pm nap she was fine all afternoon! We went to a play area with ds and she was happy as Larry, no OT crying just really happy to be out and about!
ETA forgot to say That apparently this nap routine is best when going through the 2:1 switch, which is good as with ds it was such a pain!
