Too true!! I get the same reaction even with my 2.5yo when I try to plan things around her naps. You made me laugh with the DH having sleep issues comment!! Haha!

OMG yes!  My DH's family is always like well if he isn't sleeping more than 30 minutes then that must be all he needs and I'm like NO that ISN'T all he needs or he wouldnt be whiny and fussy!  Argh, it drives me NUTS.  This week has been the worst EVER.  Until right now he hasn't had ONE nap longer than 45 min in an entire week.  Right now he is at 1hr 20.  I am hoping that means his tooth has stopped bothering him and his new reflux meds are working!  LOL

Ugh.  Some people have no clue about babies... I thought it was common knowledge that they need naps... apparently not.  I actually have a friend with a little girl who is just 4 months old... she naps once in the afternoon for a couple hours "if she needs it!"  My friend insists that the baby doesn't need a morning nap!  And she will wake her at the two hour mark of the one nap she does have... and she wonders why the kid is forever cranky!

Amyylyn - I hope that the current nap is the start of something for you :)  HUGS!
