3rd morning waking at 4am ish????
« on: June 10, 2011, 14:18:17 pm »
Hi my DD is 6 1/2 months and feeds 4 hour EASY! i really want to go back to starting our day at 7am, i dont even mind 6am! but this morning she woke at looked at the clock and yes there it was 3.55am!!!! this is the 3 rd morning at this time, im so worried that there is a pattern emerging and somewhere i have done AP??? but how? she has her 3 small meals a day, but when she wakes she sometime falls back to sleep but always up to start the day at 5.30?? which then puts her whole EASY out of sorts??

just wondering how this has happened could it be her solids although started this a few weeks ago?

i really appreciate some advice and should i feed her as soon as she wakes, but if i dont she will fall into the eat to sleep pattern??

thank you so much x

yes, my little one takes about 15 mins after bottle to fall asleep but is yawning crazily. she will only go back to sleep in our bed though (very bad i know). she's never slept with us but with all these night wakings and early morning rising it's been the only way to get her back to sleep. i guess if i knew the reason.. this morning i was adamant that i wasn't going to feed her but after 20 min of moaning and then real crying i presumed she was hungry?!?!
oh well, fingers crossed it's a short phase and sleep until 7 tomorrow :-)

well just thought id say that this morning she woke up at 5.30am, but with no 4am wake up? unless she did and i never heard her on the monitor and she fell back to sleep!!!
she woke up at 5.30 i left her there just babbling away but she started to moan a bit by 5.45 we were up as i didnt want her to wake her 3 yr old DS! but as usual he was up at 6am!!

ohhh how i just love these early mornings x
today she has gone to bed at 7pm lets see what tomoorw brings, and today my DS only had 30mins nap as i woke him up (he was not happy) and has gone to bed usual 8pm, so lets see about that too!!

fingers crossed x

wow, 5:30am !!! that's a lie-in these days :-) that's really great!!
i was woken at 4.30am today but didn't offer a bottle so she only fell asleep again at 5:30am (in our bed). i had tried putting her back in the cot for 45mins but she just got up and tried to crawl/stand etc while yawning and rubbing her eyes.
fingers crossed for tomorrow :-)

We went through a period of 4.30am wake ups and it was due to needing a change/tweak in routine. For us it was needing to drop the CN...and nights were a bit wonky during this period too. Sounds like you are back on track but if she starts to do it again maybe post your EASY? Also, when she wakes at this time (if she does again) does she wake happy or obviously still tired?

HI zac mumme! are you in the UK? TY for your post, its interesting about tweaking routine as last night she never really had her CN and she went down at 7pm and stirred about 4.15 and i just left her babbling in her cot after 20 mins i came down to make her a bottle thought she would be hungry as she onlt had 2oz at her DF at 11pm! but then she fell asleep and woke up at 7.30!!!!!!

with my DS he had no nap at all yesterday and slept through til 6.30!

its so frustrating but i guess its just like you say and tweak her routine, what age do they usually drop this then?
