Moving to one nap
« on: June 15, 2011, 17:07:05 pm »
We are so close to one nap but not quite there yet as Alyssa's nap is not over 1.5hrs.  We are doing an A of 4.5hrs in the am and that gives me a 1.5hour nap. Going to be pushing her am nap out a little and am wondering is a two hour nap sufficient for a one nap day? her sleep is all new to me. DD1 transitioned to one nap so easy and the moment she went on one nap she was sleeping for three hours.

DS is 15 months and he transitioned fully to one nap a month ago. He has 2hrs - I always wake him at 2:30 (he goes down at 12:30). He would probably sleep 3 hrs if I let him but then he's up at 5am bright eyed. With a 2hr nap He sleeps 11 to 11.5hrs at night. DD also transitioned really easily and would do 12hr nights and only do a 1.25hr nap!!!

Hi Sabrina
2hrs has generally been sufficient for F.  Actually he is getting to the point now where I can't let him have more than 2hrs 15mins max or like pp we get UT EWs.  :P  When we first transitioned though we were getting 1.5hr naps too, they have gotten longer as the 1 nap has been more established.
