BT was at 7:15, due to the workmen next door not finishing till 7:45pm, Lo passed out at 8pm. I really just watched her today and was amazed at how much she has learned in the last 2 weeks, it's like all these little things are clicking in her head and she having these " oh thats how is works/ is said/ means" moments all day. She even said "awesome" after I brushed her teeth for bed AND she her longest sentence to date about a pine neddle thats was in her hand which she took out then put in the garbade can. " Oh no, owey....(put into garage) Ok then (looks at me) I ok." Thats 5 whole words, I'm so proud!! Maybe all this sleeplessness was worth it LOL

I don't know if you've heard of/read a book called 'The Wonder Weeks' but it highlights the various developmental milestones that LO's go through during their first few years of life, there is a big developmental 'leap' at around 17/18mths which can throw sleep off.

FWIW, my DS who is 17mths has seemed to go through a number of verbal/ physical changes over the last few weeks & his sleep has been off so I do think it's most likely a phase that will pass & it's really a case of riding it out the best you can!  :)

It been a month now and I am still going right out of my mind, we put Lo down 7:45-8pm and she actually goes to sleep at 10pm, wakes up cranky at 7:45-8am. Nap at 12-12:30 for 1.5 hrs once a week a 2 hr nap. This is never going to end is it?

Have you given meds to eliminate the possibility of teething?

We have something similar now, except for the difficulties at BT: bed at 9 pm, asleep in 5-10 min, but then up at 7-7.30 am. We used to have wake up at 8-8.30, so we are at 10-10.5 hours night... And tonight we had a NW at 10.40 pm, he wanted to be taken up, as if it is already morning... I don't know if it is still the 18 months phase (DS is almost 19 months), but I've read somewhere that it could take also a couple of months to adjust.
