6 mod old NW question
« on: July 05, 2011, 13:10:48 pm »
Hi there. I have a 6 mos old DD who chronically wakes at midnight everynight. Other than that she goes to bed at 8pm, wakes around 4am to be fed, then goes back to bed til 6:30am.
At midnight I typically do combo of shush/pat and PU/PD and she'll go back to sleep. It takes anywhere from 10-30 min. She is not hungry - I've tried feeding her and she barely eats. I can tell she is just having trouble putting herself back to sleep. Sometimes she will wake and put herself back to sleep at this hour, but most times I need to help her.
It has been going on for about a month now almost every single night.

6:30am wake
10-12 nap
3-4:30 nap
8:00pm bed

Yes, she has very long A times, as did my first DD. Anything shorter and she sleeps 45 min.
She is breastfed.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried doing wake to sleep about 11.30 to see if that helps her reset and not wake at midnight?  It cuold take a few nights but I know others who have done something similar when they stop the DF and want to get rid of the wakening if LOs are still habitually waking?

Now why didn't I think of that! She does wakes anywhere from 11:30-12:30, so perhaps I should try 11:15?
