3 month old short naps "will shush pat help?" overtired
« on: July 18, 2011, 15:27:52 pm »
My 3 month old daughter Anna naps for a very brief time (10-45 mins.)   She is breastfed and I have an organic diet which I have researched for years.  Cries a lot and has all the symptoms of a "collicky baby."  We've (my husband and I) given her gripe water and drops.  Nothing helps her long term.   She needs constant attention and we're both burned-out.  We planned on having another in a few years, but this experience has soured us on the idea.  She sleeps fine with me but as soon as I put her in the crib she wakes up and cries.  Will the "shush pat" help? ???

It won't help if she is OT.  My DD2 was very windy and unsettled the first few months and no one got much sleep so {{{{hugs}}}}

Does she have any symptoms of reflux?

Can you post what your day looks like in terms of EAS and time etc.

Will she sleep in a sling or her buggy?

She is still very little so try not to worry.  It will get easier.

She sneezes (on her back) at least once a day.
She has hiccups at least once a day (even in utero)
Sometimes she'll sleep on a car ride
As for symptoms of reflux, I think she only has symptoms of gas.
If she's OT what do I do? Am I stuck?

I'll have to type the schedule out at a different time as she's crying right now and needs me to be her pacifier so she can sleep.
