I cannot get my baby to wake to feed for her naps
« on: August 06, 2011, 07:22:04 am »
I have tried walking her spine with my fingers, stroking her head/ neck / hands / feet and chin, talking to her. Sometimes she sleepily feeds and then wants to feed again during A time. She is breastfed.

Any ideas or do I leave her to sleep?

How old is your LO, can you post EASY?

If you are needing to wake your LO for a feed because they are sleeping too long you can try a nappy change?

Sorry I am confused as to when you are trying to wake your baby for a feed? Is it for example at 11.45am? - would she sleep longer than this if left?

Yes for example it would be 11.45am. She would go longer than this most of the time.

how much longer? I would be tempted to let her sleep a bit longer. EASY is really more of a loose routine, you dont have to stick with it 100% to the timings. It may be your LO is starting to move towards a 3.5hour EASY. I am not sure if you BF or Bottle but if you are BF your supply is at its max in the morning so she has probably had a really big feed and can go a bit longer.
