It's more than a little icky, but at least we can treat it and move forward. Not sure how quickly it works though, R was insisting at bedtime that his bum was bothering him so we gave him a shot of Advil to try and help.

DH's aunt e-mailed me saying it must be the season, because she had 4 other calls today about the same thing. :P

And is it just me, or is it kind of icky that the drugs have a picture of a friendly little worm on the box?

lmao!  I remember having to go to Shopper's and pick that stuff up for DH once, that's how I knew it was available.  He thought he had some kind of worms.  :P  Turns out he didn't, and I had to embarassingly go and discuss it with the pharmacist for no reason!  I hope it does the trick and works quickly!

Well, the disgusting things made a reappearance at the end of our trip to Toronto. :P Wasn't too bothered by that, a little annoyed mainly, but we were going home the next day so we just gave him another dose of the pills when we got home. Now, several days later it appears I have them too.  :-X :-X :-X So we decided to go ahead and dose the whole family, and I ran out to the pharmacy to get more pills.

Here's where the rage comes in: I was talking to the pharmacist about how to give it to DD (smash up pill or buy the liquid?), and said something about the fact that it's a one dose thing, and she goes, "Oh no, you have to take two doses." I was confused, since I read the info in the box very carefully and all it said about a second dose is that it's needed in rare cases. So I asked, "Do you mean the fact that he has to take two pills in the one dose?" She replied, "No, you all have to take 2 doses," and she goes to print off some sheet from their database. She shows it to me, and the recommendation is clearly to give a second dose 2 weeks after the first. It says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this in the literature that comes with the pills!  >:( >:( Not only that, but nobody at the pharmacy said anything when I bought them last time, and wouldn't have said anything this time if I hadn't had specific questions to ask them!  >:( >:( This whole second round (plus me getting it  :-X :-X) could have been totally avoided!

Planning to address this with the drug company and with the store, since this is totally ridiculous. But wanted to make sure everyone knows that TWO DOSES are needed if this happens to your family.

Argh!!  How aggravating!  So sorry you're dealing with this. I hope that you can get rid of them this time.  :(
