Ethan is 13 months, an angel baby, and has been a good sleeper- sleeping through the night (7-7) since 4 months. We ran into EWs around 10 months but fixed them with the progressively later morning nap and by getting him up after an hour and 15 minutes.
But for the past couple weeks, he's reverting back to waking early (between 6 and 6:30), so I've been trying to experiment with his nap times to compensate. We've had 2 days with 1 nap only, but his max awake time in the morning is 4:15 and at night about 5:15. So my problem is: if he wakes up at 6/6:30 and naps from 10:15-1:15, he's ready for bed at 6:30- which would be fine, except he only needs 11 1/2 hours of sleep at night. Which puts us back at a 6 am wakeup.
Here are my questions:
Should I work on the early wakeups first before attempting to move his morning nap even later? Maybe use wake to sleep? (BBSAYP, 283) Ideally, I'd like his day to be from 7am to 7:30 pm
If I work on moving his morning nap even later (BBSAYP, 284) where does the afternoon nap fit in? If he sleep from 10:15-1:15, I can't keep him awake until 7:30. Also, Tracy says not to let them sleep past 3:30 in the afternoon (268).
Any suggestions? I've been logging all his sleep for the past 2 weeks or so, so I can provide additional information if needed.
TIA!
