Well today I've changed it to up his A times as they were a bit short...he's struggling to get past 2hrs some days but I've managed to Eek him out to 2hr35 this morning, which is fairly accurate as I heard him wake at just around half 6. He usually has somewhere between 2 and 3hrs in the morning then 2 x 40 in the afternoon which suits me as we are busier in the afternoons usually.

How can I up his A times without breaking him? He was ready for a nap at just before 2hrs today but took him upstairs and he watched me shower and get ready before he started crying and then he was out for the count after a minute or 2, which is how he used to be. I'm guessing the 30mins nap was UT because it would take him a few mins and a bit of crying to go to sleep. We don't do a wind down as he doesn't like it...is it better that he's going straight to sleep or does that mean he's seriously OT?  He's slept past 30mins now so that's an improvement, I managed to mop the floors in that time!

You can do your WD out of his room - We went through a preiod where Z just wanted to be dumped in the cot so I did a WD outside, I would just walk around with him with his lovey and talk quietly to him, change his nappy etc. Then walk into his room and PD for his nap. This is also a good way to gently increase the A time, just do the WD for 5 more mins one day, then the next start 5mins later etc. Great to see he has made it past 30mins! :-*

The switch appears to have been flipped, yesterday morning he slept for 1hr40 then this morning he did just shy of 2 hrs. He woke at 40mins but I only knee because I was watching him and he found his dummy, popped it back in and went back to sleep. He even looked at me and still settled back down.

Pm naps are a bit odd though, he's going past 40mins but waking at 50 or 60 mins but still tired so APop the last bit. It looks like he's getting ready to drop the Cn too which means bt is earlier too - 6.30. Ouch.

Can you post your EASY? The 50-60min PM nap could be UT esp if he is sleeping better in the AM :) Go the switch!
