Sleepless for 3 nights need help!!

Oh lord I need some help. For the past week or so my son age 1yr has only been napping for 1 hour. and for the last 3 nights he has had trouble sleeping. The first night he woke screaming every 30-45 minutes. I tried meds for teething bottle and rocking.Nothing worked. Night #2 I took my time getting to him thinking maybe he will resettle, but after a good 5 minutes of him screaming at the top of his lungs I again tried feeding, meds and rocking but he still woke another 6 times. Night #3 (last night) He woke 2 hours after going to bed screaming bloody murder. I tried just giving water and soothing him in his crib, but he just got louder and louder. So I rocked him and he still would not stop screaming. After about 20 minutes of trying everything to get him to calm down I gave him a 10 oz bottle of milk and water mixed. He gulped down all 10 ounces then slept for another 4 hours before waking again. I dont have any ideas at all on whats going on. He used to nap for 2.5 hours every day now he always wakes at exactly 1 hour. I dont know if he is UT or OT. He is a very spirited little boy that almost never shows tired signs.

Hugs Hun...you think an ear infection could be brewing? Just a quick thought... Or waking hungry or thirsty?

Otherwise, 1 hr naps for us are usually UT but that said those nights sound rough :( :-*

He just went to the doc on Friday for his 1 yr check and got all his shots. His ears looked good and the doc said the molars shouldnt be bothering him. As far as waking hungry or thirsty, I wouldnt think so. He drinks quite a bit of water during the day long with 2 bottles of milk and a glass of juice. Hungry tho is a possibility. He has gotten to the point where he wont let me feed him from a spoon anymore and I am running out of ideas on finger foods. But he does eat 3 good meals a day usually along with a couple snacks. .... That being said, when he wakes, he wakes screaming. Like nightmares or something. I am at a loss and am totally exhausted.  Maybe I will call the doc again, if I cant figure anything else out.
