6 Month Old won't sleep for more than 4 hours
« on: January 09, 2012, 14:22:19 pm »
New to this forum but after some advice.
LO has been a pretty good sleeper and went thru a long period of waking at 3.30am and that was it, we had a week or so of sleeping till 5am or after but then back to 3.30am (ish waking) The last little while we have noticed she wakes more and also looking at the time she wakes she hasn't sleep for 4 hours or more for the last few weeks.
She has never been particularly good at taking milk (since she had thrush) but always has the bare minimum (even if it was including the 3.30am bottle (which is why never had a real issue with her waking once)
However she is on 3 meals a day and has been for a while and over the last week has slowly been better at taking her milk, so I now really want to and feel able to tackle her sleeping. Just don't know what to do for the best to try and get her to sleep past 4 hours.
She does have a dummy but recently has more often than not being going to sleep without it so i don't think that is the problem.
What should I try as its not the going to sleep thats the problem but more the staying asleep/ settling herself when she does wake. Should i try PU/PD or something else first?
