LO is 11 weeks old and already sleeps through the night (usually) and has been doing so since 5 weeks old or so. She also used to take naps and fall asleep on her own in her bassinet or swing but I think that was just due to her newborn sleepiness as she definitely just stopped that about 3 weeks or so ago. She has to be rocked or held to sleep at naps and I usually feed her before bedtime so she ends up falling asleep at the end of her bottle, shes in such a deep sleep then that I can burp her and put her in her crib without her even moving, but naptimes are a whole different story. I have to rock her to sleep and I have to hold her for 45 mins or so other wise she wakes up after that first sleep cycle and refuses to go back down again. The EASY method doesnt work for us really as when she wakes up (except for an early early morning wake up) shes usually happy and not ready to eat yet, so I let her do activity first then eat and then calm down time and naptime, just to limit her being bottle-d to bed at night-time.
I want to be able to put her down drowsy like everyone says and let her start putting herself to sleep (while Im in the room or as I check on her). I have tried the shush pat at naptimes but it just seems like I spend 90 minutes trying to get her to sleep and she ends up not even sleeping 30 minutes in the end. I want to know if I should start trying the sleep training at nap times? or at bedtimes? or does it matter?
*also shes formula fed if it matters, as I know that has some affect on certain things*
