Just wondering if you've been able to help your LO with teething pain at night with anything other than over the counter meds like ibuprofen or acetaminophen.

My DD2 at 9 months has cut her first two teeth and now is teething again and is having a very hard time especially at night.  I rather try something else rather than give her advil or tylenol nightly. BF helps but she's still up having a hard time settling.  Normally she is a good independent sleeper.

Teething pain seems to come in bouts of 3/4 nights for us so we medicated for that time and then stopped and saw how the next few nights went. I tried homeopathic remedies at times but didn't find they did much for my two, I know some people find them really good. I also didn't medicate in the day so I knew they weren't being over medicated if they had meds for several nights in a row. I used to give ibuprofen at bedtime when they had full tummies and a dream med of acetaminophen/ paracetamol.

I know it's hard medicating babies but as an adult I know toothache is one of the worst things so I figured if I medicate myself for that pain then I wanted to make sure my babies were as comfortable as possible too.

Last night medicated but it didn't help.  Actually with my DD1 meds or homeopathic remedies didn't help either.  So am hoping to get some other ideas and of course I don't like to medicate when not necessary.

I don't know if your dd uses a paci or not, but something I've found helpful is keeping a stash of pacis in my freezer.  I'll give him one before bed or at night, and it seems to help soothe him.

same here...we will get 2-4 days or EW or NW then a good few. Or if they are moving during naps we would get mid nap crying at 50-60min mark usually.

Im liking this idea! Z usually doesn't like cold things but loves his dummy when he is teething so off to try this today!

TBH - Nothing other than pain meds really helps when my LO is sleeping. They are a lot more sensitive to pain when resting or sleeping...I guess we are too really. Once all the distractions are gone.
