naps during a day trip
« on: March 09, 2012, 18:37:11 pm »
My best friend just recently moved to the beach which is about 30 minutes away from me.  I would love to go down and visit, spend the day at the beach but I feel like I can't because I don't know where I would let my DD get a nap in.  She is 9 months old today and is currently taking 2 naps/day.  But if I am down at the beach and she takes a short nap like in the front carrier her bedtime would have to be extremely early.  Do I try and bring a pack-and-play and have her take a nap at my friends house? I have a feeling it wouldn't be successful because it would be a new place etc.  Any ideas?

Do you think she would nap one way in the car? Even if you took a longer drive back home?

She would nap in the car but usually she doesn't take a good one.  She usually wakes after one sleep cycle and won't go back to sleep :(

But could you get a car nap, or one each way, and a sling/carrier nap to get her through the day?
