Umm...yes I clearly screwed BT up as its now almost 9pm and I have had to resettle her about 8 more times ::) She is now swaddled and hopefully going to stay sleeping for a bit.

Just another 2 cents...if you are weaning from the swaddle does she have other sleep associations? Like a cuddly or white noise or something?

Good luck!!

Yeah she has a lovey which she doesn't care about, white noise and she sleeps with the blanket that she was swaddled with.

I don't know what to do  :'(

She just barely ever sleeps :( I *know* she is way OT but just can't get this figured out. I need to get some longer naps out of her but it's not working. I am getting broken up naps with totals of 1hr 10 minutes.

So frustrated :'(

Oh honey you poor thing. I have been there too and it is SO disempowering and exhausting and challenging......you are doing really well for continuing to investigate (what else can you do right...!?!)

Here are some more ideas......
Do you think its worth getting her checked out at the GP? No doubt they will suggest leaving her to cry (sorry, thats a bit cynical....maybe they wont...but its worth checking her ears etc and finding out if her early arrival can mean this might be an issue....?)

I'd go onto the EASY forum and get lots of eyes looking at her routine on a fresh board to make absolute sure her routine is about right for her for now

I found that after awhile things were all so crap anyway that I figured I may as well do whatever it takes to get some more sleep out of my child as he certainly wasnt going to improve while being waaaay OT!!!!!!!! So to that end I actually did a lot of AP deliberately....I fed before naps til really drowsy, then used W2S a lot to help him transition between cycles (nudging him after 35 minutes every nap) and letting him sleep on and with me until we got some proper sleep under our belt......

To be honest, I found night sleep training much easier once he was less tired and I even had him in our bed feeding when he liked for a few nights to try and offset some of both his and my over tiredness. I coped much better with the new plan with some sleep under my belt. Getting him back to his cot was really really easy for us especially as he was on a much better routine, he wasn't OT and I was mentally ready to tackle PUPD now I'd slept a bit!

Just a few thoughts, I know you're probably getting a bit desperate.......what do you think?

Hugs Jenn,

We've been away on a family holiday. Just got back to read how stink things are going for you :( I think your plan to swaddle when needed is a good one. I remember weaning James from the swaddle and some nights he needed it, some he didn't until eventually he didn't need it at all. I wish I had some advice I really do. To be honest if things were going like that for us I would use what little savings we have to get a sleep expert in. I say that as I know we have Sharlene Poole who is fantastic, very much like Tracey and I know her methods/results. Do you have anyone like that? My friend in coffee group struggled for 6 months with her boy who woke every hour. After Sharlene visited once he slept through from that point on. Insane. I guess experts just see literally 100s of babies, plus they are not coming into it completely exhausted like we are!!

Eva's sleep has gone up the spout since being on holiday. It has only been one week of multiple NW and early 5 am starts and I am already shattered. I don't know how you do it Jenn. Big big hugs, you are doing an amazing job of helping her sleep.xxx
