9 month old routine tweak
« on: March 15, 2012, 00:23:47 am »
hi there i have a 9 month old in a fairly good routine but it def needs a tweak do to the increase in A times, cant get them right and not sure of naps and due to the fact he wakes around anywhere between 7.30-8am typical day

7.30am wake feed 200ml bottle around 8am
9.30am breaky
10.30am sleep, can sleep anywhere between 1 hour 30 to 2 hours
12pm wake feed lunch
2pm bottle
3pmish sleep, cant get this A time right, wakes after 45 min but sometimes goes back to sleep and if does only has 1 hour nap, sometimes 1hour 30
4pm wake, 5pmish dinner
7pm bottle and bed around 7.30pm

when he has a morning nap of 2 hours, should the next nap only be a catnap?, if he has 2 hours and wakes at 12.30pm his next A time is about 3 hours pushing his next nap around 3.30pm, then next nap and wakes at 5pm, and leaving last A time of only 2 hours 30... should i be caping the first nap at 1 hour 30 or should  i let him sleep and just cut the next one. It makes it hard cos when he wakes around 8am everything is pushed later.

he is crawling and has been for over a month now, he is also standing and holding onto furniture, so would think that his A time would be less seeing he gets more tired, and he has 2 bottom teeth.

thanks kirsten

Actually, the average A time at 9 months is 3.5 hrs so he is a bit low ;)

I would wake from the PM nap to preserve BT now... capping the AM nap could cause OT mid-day and leave you with a short PM nap as well :)
