She ends up in our bed most mornings cos she won't resettle in her cot if she wakes after about 4/4.30am and DH and I need to be at least partially human for work!
we do this (hangs head in shame - for us it is to stop DS waking DD)

and...also calpol does nothing for teeth here, we have to use nurofen. xx

Pleased we're not the only ones then!

Saw GP this morning about ecxema but also asked about calpol/nurofen for teething and he said it's ok to give either for longer periods (eg for teething) and nurofen is 'safe as houses' and calpol can give 'until cows come home'. But he advised giving nurofen after food/milk.

We do this too.  I did it with DD1 too and it was easily stopped when she was older so don't worry.

Great news about the meds Catherine.  I didn't give any last night and we had SIX NWs.  Back to the med regime tonight.

Oh yes, thanks for that about the meds for teething Cath. Our nights are RUBBISH atm, not to mention the EWs, and I know it's down to teeth - all four molars on the move and one about to cut. Paracetamol doesn't seem to do much here either and I've been feeling a bit bad about giving nurofen almost every night, but will do it a bit more happily now! The only time I asked a doc here about giving pain meds for teeth, and paracetamol at that, he laughed at me and said teething didn't cause pain, it was just itchy. Right, tell that to my screaming child....

Hope your night is much better tonight Shiv  :-*

Yes thats right.  Any ibuprofen products can irritate an empty tummy.  But I think thats what cath said?  After milk/food?

(((((hugs)))))) lovely.

D comes in our bed too. She is a fully independant sleeper but when she has the slightest thing wrong she just needs that xtra comfort. She tends to go back to fully sleeping in her cot afterwards but it doesn't stop me freaking out when we are in the nidst of a co-sleeping nightmare.
