Great to hear he STTN. I think yes you will have some difficulty getting him back in his cot if you take him into bed with you at night. But if you are aware of this, and know that you will have to sleep train later, and feel for now you both need this sleep then that's okay ;)

One thing you could do is get him caught up on sleep over the next week with you etc then (and given he is well) you could try going back to the cot. You will need to be tough on not bringing him in with you at 3 though if you want him to learn to StTn without you. :)

Sigh...last night was horrible but poor little guy has a cold. Even in bed with us he kept waking and crying. I think I'll keep him in bed with us and then try to slowly transition him back to his cot. Im hoping that if I can get him into the habit of sttn he won't wake as often with sleep training. I can but hope.
Looking at other threads with LOs of a similar age with multiple nws is Interesting. I wonder if his activeness plays a role in his sleep. It's like he is always on the go even when he's asleep.
Thanks!

I've been listening to his cries at night and I think they may be mantra cries. If they are what should I do? Do I just let him cry until it escalates? How long will mantra cries go on for?
Thanks

I found it hard to work out Zacs mantra, over time I figured it out. They all have different ones, but this sticky helps you to know what to listen for. For me it helped to follow Tracey's SLOW, stop, listen - really listen, observe and identify what's up.

Mantra cries can go on for some time, Zac would manta like a hum for 10 mins or so sometimes, but it never escalates to a full cry or I need you scream.

Hugs on the cold! X
