I really don't no what to do vos she definitely cannot make it on 1 nap of 1.30 getting up at 12.30 and bed at 7 do thought we'd reduce am nap to an hour, we've done this 4 2 days now and she refusing afternoon nap, yesterday she had only 20 mind so 1 hr 20 total all day and today refusing it completely and we on 4 pm. My original easy was wake 7 bed 10.30-12 bed 3.45-4 till 4.45 then bed at 7. But now activity going up so last 2 days up at 7 asleep for 11 woke at 12 and refusing next nap yesterday I put her up at 3 had 20 mins at 3.30 today we now on 4 and she's still awake what do I do cos I don't want cumulative over tiredness to kick in. If I continue to increase am nap to over 4 hrs when do I get cat nap in so I can still have 7 bedtime? I really don't no what to do it's causing arguments between me snd hubby because he so against sn early bedtime because he thinks she'll wake early pls help

Hi there.
Sorry you've had no response yet.  I'm really not great with the 2-1 as my own LO only went through it a few months back and I'm still tweaking his routine too with the help of BW mummies with older LOs.
I'll ask for some eyes to come over and take a look for you.

Meanwhile what I CAN say is in my experience when we moved to one nap at 11/12 months (CN refusal, long am nap gradually moved towards 12.00) I did EBT and got a 13hr night!  My DS had only ever slept 10.5 to 11hrs at night up to then and to get nights of 12hr, 13hr and even 13hr 25min was unbelievable.  It's better to avoid big OT as this is likely to cause lots of WUs in the early part of the night sleep (from BT to midnight) plus it can also be the cause of early waking in the morning.  Your DH has a lot of company in believing an earlier BT will result in an earlier morning but it is not always so.

Good luck with the 2-1, it's a bumpy ride but not to be feared :)

Hey Sarah - Like Creations, we moved fairly quickly to one nap at 11 months.

Couple of options for you...

1. Shorten her AM nap more... wake her after 30 mins.  Then PM nap about 2.5-3 hrs later and let her sleep as long as she likes.
2. Push her to 1130am and then just let her nap as long as she likes... if needed, do a CN or EBT depending on what time she wakes up.

Either is a good option, but I would recommend the second option as the first can leave you with a very crabby kid until that PM nap.

I also had a 10 hr a night girl who never tacked on lost sleep... until the move to one nap :)
