I always used to do a gentle winding so as not to disturb DD too much for NF. If I didn't she would be up an hour or so later screaming with wind pain, she was a very gassy baby though. She certainly couldn't manage her own wind by 10 weeks, it was more like 6 months for us before we could let up on the burping.

It depends on if you are having problems or not though. If your DD is settling well without burping and doesn't have any trouble with this then it sounds fine. If she is unsettled and NW again after her feed then that could be your issue. HTHs.

I got away without burping mine at night. I think it depends on the bub tbh. I was also told that bf babies need less winding than ff ones.
