I think he wasn't that hungry as well because his DF was at 10ish and he can usually last until past 2:30am. I'm going to give him extra feeds during the day and resettle at the first wake up. Let's see how that goes.

Oh God..it sounds you had a hard time. What time did he feed before 1 o'clock?
To be honest it is hard because you always questioning yourself "Is he hungry is he not?" But you will know for sure only after he falls asleep after 2 minutes. I found it hard to follow any routin (my DD too) but in the night waking she always followed a similar pattern. You just have to listen a bit to your gut, your motherly instict when he is hungry and when he only needed a cuddle to sleep back.
I promise it will be easier soon. After the 3 months GS my DD changed. I could recognise her own routin better and her cues too. I felt more in control.
I hope tonight will be better!

He had is DF around 10:10pm. Woke up at 1:09. I know our routine has been a little crazy these post days. We are going to the beach every weekend for this month and we are moving into a new house so I know his naps have been all over the place. Once we are settle in our new house I am starting to work on extending his day naps. Hopefully this will help him to drop the feeds on his own as well.

Yes, hard to tell if it's OT or hungry!

Has he had his 3m growth spurt yet or are you still waiting for that?  If it's not come along yet (and with a 4m one to come) I think I would be wary of trying to drop any NFs.  He's still only tiny.

I'm pretty sure his 3m GS happened about 2 weeks ago! He woke up at 1,3,5,7
I know he is still a tiny baby but I do think that at least one NF is habitual.  I don't want to go cold turkey but a gentle withdrawal. Let's see how it goes tonight.

Fair enough.  At the end of the day, you're his mummy and you will make the decision you believe is right for him :)

Not so good. Now he wakes at 1am every night! And wants to feed! Maybe a GS? I'm sure he had one about a week ago but maybe I was wrong! He then woke up around 5ish. Full feeds both times. He had is DF at 10:30.

Could be.  I find that age so hard to figure out.  Generally I would just feed as it gets me back in bed quicker.  When they stopped taking full feeds was when I'd try to resettle in other ways.

That's for sure. I guess I can keep feeding for a few more weeks.

He is on a 3 hour easy but want to move into a 3.5. I have started to slowly increase his easy but it can so hard! By the time 2.5 hours have passed since last feeding he is beginning to get restless! I know that by tweaking his feedings he might go for longer stretches at night. Any advice?

Update

We have moved into the new house and DS is sleeping in his own room now. I dropped the DF since he was still waking up twice with or without it and was waking up every night around DF time. Since we dropped DF his night waking are between 12-2 and 4-5. He nurses before bt around 6:30pm and lasts at least 6 hours so I'm pretty confident I can start pushing the 4-5 feed a little later and stick with the 2 am feed for a while.
I will start with pantley gentle removal and see how it goes.

Good job!

I the mean time my DD started to wake up around 3 am every morning and having a full feed. After she wakes up at 6am and not hungry at all and it's messing up our day! I think it was to early to think that I am over with the night feedings :)
