Nope, I presume she didn't make any comments while Aliyah was eating? Maybe she's getting more comfortable with it...

Sorry for the late response, we have been having a rough go and I've been sleeping whenever I can anyways....  No she didn't make any comments, in fact our conversation was rather normal.  My DH joined us after a few mins and so she had someone else to look at, but I don't care about that.  One also doesn't need to look at my boob when I feed, you are welcome to look at my eyes!

I can't even turn my head for a kiss from DH or Logan swats him away with his hand. He's getting really possessive of us now if he's cuddling/feeding he won't let the other near for a family hug. Feels a bit 'Its me or the dog' but it goes both ways so its not like its always DH being swatted away  lol

My LO is getting possessive now too, lol if I chat with someone else her hand goes over my mouth!

Hope you gals don't mind if I keep asking questions to keep this thread alive?  I'm enjoying connecting with other ladies about NIP!

Have you had any encouraging words from strangers re: nursing you LO in public?

I did yesterday!  I took both my sons out to lunch (just me and them), and DS2 woke up early hungry and ornery.  I went to feed him, but realized that I didn't have my nursing cover with me.   I fed him anyways (I don't always use the cover, just when I think I might make others uncomfortable).  DS1 was animated and telling me about his day at preschool when an older woman came over and asked if I was breastfeeding DS2.  When I told her that I was, she lit up :) She was so excited, and said that she BF her children and loved that I was doing it in public!  She told me that she wished more mothers would :)  It made me feel so good!

On a side note, my lactation consultant gave me business cards today that list the legislation for my state that give women the right to BF.  Now I might just leave the cover at home for good!

I've had people ask me about the baby "under there" when I've been nursing (I pretty much always use a cover) and then ask him something like "did you enjoy your meal?" -- or some other similar (positive) comment when he's done and I take him out of there.  It's funny because it's been older men several times who I would think would be more uncomfortable (of course, that's only based on my experiences with my dad and my FIL who are certainly not typical of all older men).  And the other mom's at dd1's dance class are so used to me feeding him now, we've discussed it to no end and now I don't think they even notice anymore.
