Won't go down
« on: April 29, 2012, 17:09:24 pm »
My 16 mo dd was recently moved from my bedroom to her own room with a crib. She usually goes to sleep with a bottle (i know! not good..) and then she switches to her paci and falls asleep. She maybe wakes up once or twice, but shes usually good during the night. Now when i put her in her crib she either goes in, falls alseep and a little later (maybe 20 minutes) wakes up crying. ive tried everything, when i go in the room she gets even more worked up. She cries till she throws up! Other times she wont even go into the bed and refuses to take the bottle.
She is a more needy baby, likes to be held A LOT, likes to cuddle...so i know (ive done it before) she really just wants to sleep with me in my bed. But i wont allow it, no way! she is 16 months and time to move out of my room.
PLEASE help. I was actually trying to move her out into a room with her 2.5 yr old brother, but b.c of her screaming he wakes up a lot! so guess who is sleeping in my room now.... yup! my son! on a mattress on the floor...
any advice is much appreciate! TIA

Hi there, seeing as your DD is over a year old I am going to move this over to Sleep for Toddlers for more age appropriate advice for you. :)

Hi,
I don't think she is teething.
She wakes up around 8 am sometimes earlier sometimes later
then she is a up for a few hours- about 3 hours, then i try to put her down for a nap (sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt..)
then she is up till bedtime which is anywhere between 6:15- 7:15/30
it kind of depends on the day. if her nap is long i put her to sleep a bit later...
