I wouldve been happy with a 5.15am start to the day but I had to try and see if i could get him back to sleep, figuring he only had a total day sleep yesterday of 1 hour 20mins.
Although he had shorter day sleep he also had a shorter day as you did EBT so it probably would have been better to just get him up.   Was that a one off you trying to get him back to sleep after 11 hour + night?  Because that could really mess with your day in the longterm if you do it too often as he'll be thinking that first A (where you are trying to get him back to sleep) is an actual A time and i imagine you get an UT nap and lead to OT etc.

DOes his discomfort seem to have settled?
