dairy & soy out, what next?
« on: July 11, 2012, 21:11:40 pm »
Ok its been 6 weeks since I've completely eliminated soy & dairy, all the way down to soy bean oil just in case. Improvements in his poop have been remarkable- no blood or mucous, and are now less than once a day, yellow, and runny. We're still having HUGE issues with nightwakings & his poop is still fairly stinky.
From those with experience, do you think there's still another culprit and if so, where should I start. I'm thinking wheat should be next but its just an arbitrary guess. Is prefer to do things one at a time instead of TED.

PS ds is 6m & ebf

EGG!!!!

Really we did not see that golden period of improvement until we eliminated the egg (my and DS diet) peanut from my diet and also from his chickpeas and coconut. He was over 1 year when he was diagnosed. The doctor said that those hwo are soy and dairy intolerant tend to not tolerate the eggs or nuts either. And of all that his egg allergy is qute high at 3 points while his dairy was even higher at 5 points. our friend's DS had bad eczema and I always suspected it was due to food. They tested and He has also the same allergens.
As for wheat ours is mild at 1 point only, so I'd try that after the egg.
Best of luck! You are doing great to have achieved such improvement already.

For us, Olly turned out to be allergic to egg and wheat as well as dairy. They are the mot common too so I would cut one or both out x
