So I'm still experimenting with A times.  The day is getting long though, which I know happens during the 2-1.  Is it common for nights to get shorter as the day gets longer?

We've been able to push BT out later with the longer day, but he is still getting up at 5 something and nights have been 10 hours, whereas before it was 11 hours or more.

Ya it is a bit, ESP if your naps are both a reasonable length.
If yournightswil are getting shorter than 10.5 hrs you may need to cap 1 nap more, and allow a long other nap. What does the day look like ATM ?

Today was a decent day. I tried to keep the A times on the shorter side so that the day wasn't as long.

Wake 5:22
A 3h 45
S 9:03 - 10:35 (1h 33 min - I had to wake him)
A 3h 20
S 1:55 - 3:03 (1h 8 min - he woke himself)
A 3h 10
BT 6:10 asleep

We'll see how long he sleeps tonight.  I think I may have to cap one of the naps to 45 min soon.

Today he woke at 5:49 am.  So a 11 hour 40 min night.  That's the closest he's slept to 6:00 am in a long time!

So I'm going to try the same A times again today.  Wondering if he likes a shorter A time to bed.

Oh darn...he just woke after 45 min after 3h 40 A.  Maybe the longer night meant he wasn't as tired this morning...

False alarm, he let out a cry but went back to sleep.  Napped for 1h 20 after a 3h 40 A.  Was aiming for 3h 45 A but he fell asleep quicker than I expected.  I think after the long night, he could have did a slightly longer A.

I'm back!  DS will be 10 months in a week.  The last 2 days he has refused his pm nap!  Also over the last few days his naps have been getting shorter.  We haven't had a proper 1.5 hour nap. They been an hour and a bit and getting shorter to 55 minutes this morning.

For the pm nap he is just playing in his crib for over half an hour.  First I thought he was OT but I think it was just nap refusal because he has never taken that long to fall asleep before.  Tried to AP and BF to sleep but was still awake after I fed him.  Yesterday was an OT disaster because his A time was waaay too long by the time I was able to get him to sleep by holding him.  Then we had a 4:30 am OT wake up this morning.

You'd think he'd be tired, but his am nap was only 55 min this morning and he wouldn't fall asleep again for the pm nap.  So this time I took him for a walk and he fell asleep, after 5 hours A time!  Only slept 55 min in the stroller.

So I think I am going to have to increase his A time some more, and cut the am nap to 30 min and hope he takes the pm nap.  I don't think cutting to 45 min will help since he was refusing it after a 50 min & 55 min nap the last 2 days.

His first A time is 3h 50 or 3h 55 the last few days.  I was going to try 4h but not sure if that is even enough?!!

I am so looking forward to the one long nap.  I've been reading the links on 2-1 already.  Thanks!

He slept 1.5 hours for the pm nap.  How much A time do you think I should do before BT?  4 hours?

Today:
Wake 5:30
A 4.05h
S 9:30 - 10:05 (35 min woke him)
A 3.10h
S 1:15 - 2:45 (1.5 hour woke himself)
