36 min naps?
« on: August 09, 2012, 16:58:00 pm »
So what are these all about? I'm confused if they're UT or OT. She has gone through a stint of UT 30 min naps in the past.

Hi Georgio

I don't know if you've seen my thread but my dd was having 36 min pm naps. On the dot. Im working on it by increasing a time if am nap is really good and by doing w2s at 20-22 min mark and holding till she stops jolting. Hth x

Ps I think our 36 min naps were habitual which is why I'm trying w2s. Don't think she was UT cos still having 36 min naps when a times were ranging between 2.5-3.5hr!! However, cant remember if am nap was good prior to the longer a times and if the pm nap was then OT cos today she had 3h25 min a time in pm after a 2h am nap and I woke after 1.25hr sleep to maintain BT...

Thanks:) we just get them once in a while but I find it hard to figure out if it's UT or OT. How did you wake her up for w2s?

These naps can also be developmental.  ALL my kids have done 35 min naps (to the dot), and I would change A times, W2S, HTTJ and nothing really did anything except time and getting older!  SO frustrating but hang in there!

If its just once in a while it won't be habitual so w2s won't work. But for ref I just run her cheek or forehead until she stirs/ it took me a while till I got hang of it tho!

Thanks ladies. We get a lot of 30 min but I think it's the wrong activity time rather than habitual as we do get nice long unassisted ones every few days. Good to know how to try w2s just incase. I tried picking her up to do it once, and let's just say that didn't end how I wanted it to. Lol
