General nap timing question
« on: October 13, 2012, 14:10:53 pm »
Having read lots of these posts I was wondering whether, on a two nap day, is it generally better to aim for a longer A time before bed and shorter in the middle of the day, our for longer in middle of day and shorter before bed? I am assuming that the morning is always as long as you can make it?

I have a nine month old, she's only just been put on two naps so hasn't settled in to routine yet so I'm holding off for a week before posting on here with schedule but some nights I have nw some nights are ew and wondered if there was a general rule?

Unfortunately, there isn't a general rule with this :(

My DS did beautifully with a 4-3-2 type routine at this age and I have know of LO's who need their A times completely balanced and others who do better with a long A to BT. Its a matter for following cues and seeing what works. Have you seen a pattern as to when the NW are occurring depending on the A times during the day?
