Don't know what's going on!!!
« on: October 10, 2012, 19:21:47 pm »
My ds is almost 14 months and has been on one nap since 12 months.  Things were going perfectly... But then... Tooth 15 and 16... The I teeth peeked their heads.  I'm not sure though if his sleeping problem is from that or from all the other changes he's been dealing with lately.  I work 4 days a week and have my mio watch him Tuesday Thursday and have a nanny Wednesday Friday.  When my ds is with my mio... He never sleeps well and I'm always doing damage control for the following days.  Yesterday, he didn't sleep at all and had a CN in the car on the way home from my mios house.  Today, he slept 30 min and I did wi/wo to settle him in his crib.  He's still not asleep and has been in there for 30 min... Oh yeah... And it seems like he has a cold.

He was sleeping 2-3 hours last week and since then no more than 45 min!!!!

His mornings have been getting earlier and earlier and are now at 6am... Ot i think... I told my nanny to put him down at 1130 today because I knew he would be tired, fell asleep immediately but only slept 30 min.

Should I just insist my mio put him to bed at our house or is there something else going on?  SA?

I can't figure it out... I'm debating staying home for the rest of the week just to figure this out!

Help!!

I'm afraid I don't have much advice to offer - just hugs!
My DS is 14 months old and our sleep is all over the place...EW, long NW, waking up screaming, BT antics...you name it...
Could def be the teeth though. From what I've read the canines are the WORST for disrupting sleep...
We are currently getting our 2nd of 4 first molars and it's been awful...Also could be developmental with a bit of SA thrown in for good measure.
Are you medicating for the teeth?
I think it would be a good idea to get your MIO and the Nanny on the same page WRT the naps times though...
Some of the veterans will have good advice, I'll follow along as well and stand in solidarity with you!!!

Hang in there...

Finally, he stayed in bed yesterday until 4... Never falling sleep.  I went out hoping he would sleep a little in the car but no dice.  Asleep by 646. Ot wu at 715, 815 and 845.  I had to help him calm down the first time by going in, rubbing his back.  Other times he self settled.  Ew at 445 this morning, no crying just humming to his lovie.  It's now 630 and there's been no noise since 545 but still he's rubbing his fingers with his lovie, can't see his face in the monitor so not sure his eyes are closed.  Should I try w2s??  He's been waking up before 6 for 5 days at least...

so is he still teething or are they through? I would think it would be worth trying meds to see if it helps....
